Most engineers never watch a real person fail to use what they built. Most designers never carry the pager when it breaks. I have done both jobs, and each one made me better at the other.
Support taught me where software actually hurts people. UX research taught me how to find out why, and design taught me what to do about it. The projects below alternate between those two muscles on purpose.

A static brochure site rebuilt as a MEAN-stack app: a REST CRUD API, a JWT-secured Angular admin SPA, and Mongoose-validated data models.
case study →Before IT, I ran healthcare operations from the inside: supervising medical transport teams at DocGo and coordinating emergency dispatch at Assist Ambulance. Between operations and engineering came General Assembly's UX immersive, where I learned to treat confusion as a design defect, not a user problem.
Now I support the systems side of the same world at NYU Langone Health: Active Directory, endpoint fleets, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
The through-line: when systems fail, people feel it. So I keep them running, I design them to be understood, and I'm learning to build them better.
